Dr. Ewen is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician with extensive experience in both regional and international volunteer work, including service in conflict areas of the Middle East and remote regions of Southeast Asia.

Growing up in Evanston, Illinois, Dr. Ewen’s love of Civil War history led him to the Virginia Military Institute for his undergraduate studies in nearby Lexington. He attended Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia, where he developed a keen interest in global and rural health. A primary focus of his residency training was street medicine, where he helped pioneer an outreach program to provide medical care to homeless individuals, creating a training program that has become a strong presence in the Lancaster, PA community.
