Bio

Dr. John Janousek, MD is a Board Certified Emergency Physician with over 27 years of experience. He is retired military, having served in the Army and Air National Guard as an Emergency Physician and Flight Surgeon, and has deployed to combat areas and austere medical facilities. Dr. Janousek enjoys working in remote environments and has an interest in out of hospital care. He serves as an EMS Medical Director, and as the medical director for a law enforcement training center. His education includes the University of Virginia, Villanova University, and Eastern Virginia Medical School, with residency in Emergency Medicine at Fort Hood, TX. He has 3 children, all boys and one grandchild, and has been married for 38 years. In his spare time, Dr. Janousek enjoys outdoor sports, including boating, fishing, and hiking, especially in the Blue Ridge mountains.
