Bio

Marita Romine is a seasoned financial leader with over 25 years of experience in healthcare finance. As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Bath Community Hospital, Marita brings a wealth of expertise in financial management and strategic planning, having transitioned from her role as Assistant Chief Financial Officer (ACFO) in January 2024.

Before joining Bath, Marita served as the Controller at Newberry County Memorial Hospital in South Carolina from 2011 to 2023. In this role, she was instrumental in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving fiscal responsibility within the organization. Her commitment to excellence in healthcare finance is complemented by her passion for education, as she taught finance classes at Newberry College, inspiring future finance professionals.

Marita holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), which she earned in December 2010, further solidifying her foundation in financial analysis and management. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Organizational Development from Mount Olive College in Wilmington, NC, equipping her with essential skills in leadership, organizational behavior, and strategic planning.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Marita enjoys the beautiful surroundings of her community. She loves walking and can often be seen strolling around the village of Hot Springs with her cherished fur baby, Cully. Together, they embrace the charm and tranquility of their area.
